Tishk International University Student Wins Top Award at 25th Innovative Student Forum
Tishk International University (TIU) is proud to announce that Mr. Holan Omeed K. Mohammed, a talented student from the Department of Information Technology, Faculty of Applied Sciences has been awarded the first-place prize at the 25th Innovative Student Forum. This event, organized by the Arab Committee for Student Training and Innovation and hosted by Tishk International University in collaboration with Salahuddin University of Erbil (SUE), showcased outstanding projects from across the Arab region, with 50 students from 20 universities competing in 7 countries.
Mr. Holan’s project, titled “Integrating Computer Vision and Language Model for Interactive AI – Robot,” stood out as the top-ranked among 50 innovative projects. His work, supervised by TIU Lecturer Dr. Abubakar Muhammad Ashir, aimed to develop an AI-enabled robotic system that integrates object recognition, autonomous navigation, and human interaction, effectively functioning as an intelligent assistant for dynamic settings such as schools and universities.
