Welcoming New Jordanian Students at Tishk International University

Tishk International University recently hosted a reception to welcome 11 new students from Jordan and Egypt. The students, who are enrolled in Dentistry, Engineering, and Management programs, were honoured during the event. Asst. Prof. Dr. Idris Hadi Saleh, Head of the Board of Trustees, highlighted the university’s establishment and strategic vision.

Prof. Dr. Sultan T. Abu-Orabi, the President of the University welcomed the students, emphasizing the academic cooperation between Jordan and the Kurdistan Region- Iraq, and noted the recognition of Tishk International University by the Jordanian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The president also thanked the Al-Majd Educational Foundation in Jordan for their fruitful cooperation with Tishk International University and for sending these students. His Excellency Mr. Fouad Al-Majali, the Jordanian Consul General, reinforced the consulate’s support for fostering bilateral cooperation and assisting the university and its students. Dr. Awad Al-Sheikh, father of one of the students, expressed gratitude for the university’s warm reception and the opportunity to study in Kurdistan.

In addition, TIU provides affordable accommodation and 50% discount from its tuition fees, along with organizing tours of Erbil’s historic and commercial sites encouraging these students. This marks the first time students from Jordan have enrolled at Tishk International University since 2003.
