On February 13, 2025, Tishk International University’s (TIU) Faculty of Dentistry organized a White Coat Ceremony. This event was for first-grade students. The Dean of Students Committee at the Faculty of Dentistry supervised the ceremony. All faculty doctors and staff were invited.
The event began with a speech from Dr. Idris Hadi, Head of the Board of Trustees. Following this, Dr. Sultan Abu Orabi, President of TIU, delivered another speech. He spoke about education at TIU and its future for students. He encouraged students to achieve their goals. He also discussed how the university supports academic dreams. Next, Dr. Omar Jafar Naghshbandi, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, welcomed and congratulated the new first-graders. He then highlighted TIU’s outstanding academic achievements.
Trivan Sami, last year’s graduate, delivered a motivational speech. She ranked second during her five years in the Faculty of Dentistry. She reflected on the dedication and hard work that brought the students to this point. She also encouraged them to persevere, trust themselves, and view challenges as growth opportunities.
Afterward, Dr. Alisher Babakuliyev, Head of Departments in the Faculty of Dentistry, led the pledge recitation. He guided students in taking the oath of dentistry. They pledged to prioritize patients and foster spiritual, ethical, and intellectual growth alongside academic development.
In the presence of teaching staff, heads of departments, and other TIU doctors, students were invited to the stage. Each group took a photo with their senior colleagues. A ceremonial cake was cut and distributed among attendees. Students enjoyed a pleasant time with their teaching staff and university management.
