Tishk International University (TIU) celebrated the grand opening of University Pharma. This new educational pharmacy offers students practical, real-world experience. Located on the ground floor of the New Pharmacy Building, this initiative aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and professional practice.

His Excellency Dr. Saman Barzanji, Kurdistan Region’s Minister of Health, attended the event. He commended TIU for its commitment to enhancing pharmaceutical education. Assist. Prof. Dr. Idrees Hadi, Head of the Board of Trustees, highlighted future plans to expand student training facilities. TIU President, Prof. Dr. Sultan Abu-Orabi, welcomed attendees and provided an overview of the university’s vision. Asst. Prof. Dr. Abdulsamad Salahuddin, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, emphasized the crucial role of hands-on training. This training is key to shaping skilled pharmacists.

The ceremony featured live music and certificate distributions. Sponsors Pioneer, Preotme, and At-Life Time received recognition. A networking coffee break also offered promotions and giveaways. Following the official ribbon-cutting, guests toured the pharmacy and training room. This showcased the new facility’s role in preparing students for their future careers.
