Tishk International University (TIU) is proud to announce a formal academic partnership with Anhalt University of Applied Sciences in Germany. This milestone was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The agreement was finalized during a meeting on April 14, 2025, at 13:00 (Iraqi Time). Representatives from both institutions explored avenues for academic cooperation and future joint initiatives.

A distinguished delegation represented TIU. This included President Prof. Dr. Sultan T. Abu-Orabi, Academic Vice President Asst. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ozdemir, and Dr. Jwan J. Mohammedshareef, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering. Ms. Shino Abdulla, Head of the Architectural Engineering Department, and Mr. Shallaw Hamza, MoU Coordinator, were also present from the Architectural Engineering Department.

Representing Anhalt University of Applied Sciences, M.Sc. Huner Khalil attended onsite. Meanwhile, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jens Hartmann, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Gunnar Schulz-Lehnfeld, and M.Sc. Annemarie Reimann joined the session online. The Anhalt delegation included experts in Geodesy and Architectural Heritage Conservation.

Throughout the meeting, both institutions presented their academic portfolios, research capabilities, and institutional priorities. These presentations highlighted shared goals and values, laying the foundation for meaningful and impactful collaboration. The MoU formalizes a mutual commitment to advancing academic excellence. This will be achieved through research cooperation, student and faculty exchange programs, and joint academic projects.
