In a significant step toward international academic collaboration, pharmacy and dentistry students from Tishk International University (TIU) have traveled to Egypt. They are participating in a Summer School Exchange Program hosted by Egypt University for Science and Technology. The program officially began on July 14th. It aims to enrich students’ academic and personal development through hands-on learning and cross-cultural engagement.

The exchange initiative offers a unique opportunity for students. It allows them to participate in advanced academic workshops and clinical training. They will also take part in multidisciplinary sessions. All the while, they will develop essential soft skills like communication, teamwork, and leadership. In addition to classroom learning, the program emphasizes cultural exchange. This helps students gain a broader understanding of international healthcare systems.

“This collaboration provides a valuable platform for our students to expand their global perspectives. It lets them engage with future healthcare professionals from different backgrounds,” a university representative stated. “It also aligns with our vision of preparing students to meet global healthcare challenges with both competence and cultural sensitivity.”

The Summer School Program runs over several weeks. It is designed not only to enhance academic knowledge but also to build international friendships and academic networks. Furthermore, it fosters a deeper appreciation of diverse cultures and healthcare practices.

This milestone reflects Tishk International University’s ongoing commitment to academic excellence, student development, and internationalization. The program also contributes to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal 1 (No Poverty). It does this by investing in quality education and capacity-building for future professionals.
