The conference was proudly sponsored by Harlem Group, the Iraqi Private Banks League, the University of Al-Hamdaniya, and the Arab International Foundation for Education Development, reflecting strong national and regional support for scientific research, innovation, and international academic collaboration.
During the opening session, Dr. Idris Hadi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the International University of Erbil, delivered a welcoming address, in which he warmly received officials representing various Iraqi ministries, the Governor of Erbil, presidents of several Iraqi universities, and the President of Amman Arab University (Jordan). He also extended a sincere welcome to all local and international guests, wishing them productive participation in the conference and a pleasant stay in the city of Erbil.
The idea of SHAPE2025 originated from a strategic academic meeting held last March in Tunisia, where representatives of Tishk International University met with professors from leading British universities. During that meeting, participants discussed the urgent need to launch an international scientific platform focusing on artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, and their growing impact on human life, health systems, and educational practices. This shared vision later evolved into the SHAPE2025 International Conference.
SHAPE2025 brought together a distinguished group of academics, researchers, and specialists from around the world. The conference received a total of 42 scientific research submissions, of which 35 high-quality papers were accepted, representing 106 researchers from 14 different countries. In addition, the conference featured seven keynote speakers, five of whom traveled from abroad, whose insightful presentations enriched the academic program and provided diverse global perspectives on AI-driven innovation.
The conference program was carefully designed to foster discussion, innovation, and interdisciplinary cooperation. It included two plenary sessions, six regular parallel sessions, a dedicated session on entrepreneurial ideas and innovation, as well as official opening and closing sessions. These sessions enabled participants to exchange knowledge, share research findings, and explore future opportunities for collaboration across health, education, and technology sectors.
The SHAPE2025 International Conference concluded with several key outcomes that underline the growing importance of artificial intelligence in shaping the future:
1. The establishment of SHAPE as an annual international conference, ensuring continuous dialogue, knowledge exchange, and innovation in artificial intelligence and related fields.
2. A strong commitment to enhancing international cooperation, through sustained partnerships with prestigious universities, research centers, and global organizations.
3. Robust institutional support for researchers, including technological and academic assistance to facilitate the publication of accepted papers in indexed international databases.
4. A clear emphasis on the ethical, transparent, and responsible use of artificial intelligence, with participants highlighting the need to integrate ethics, responsibility, and sustainability into AI research and applications.
