Tishk International University Dentistry Faculty organized the 1st INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS OF ORAL SCIENCES (ICOS2016). The Opening Ceremony was held in Erbil Dedeman Hotel on April 05, 2016.
Dr. Jamal Kamal, Vice General Director of the Studies, Planning and Follow-up Department, Representatives of the Government and the Intellectuals honored the Conference Hosts with their participation.
The event started with the National Anthem of Kurdistan and the inauguration speeches by Tishk International President Prof. Öztaş, Dr. Jamal Kamal and the Representative of on behalf of Minister of Health Dr. Vian Jaff.
Following the hosts, Dr. Jamal Kamal celebrated the Tishk International University and the Organizing Committee for the organization of such a scientific event that will contribute directly to the development of Iraq.
After presentation of the plaque, the Representative of the Minister, officials, intellectuals and the visitors listened to the keynote speeches by Prof. Dr. Ali Zubaidee, Prof. Dr. Jafar Nagshbandi, Dr. Ali I. Bastan, Dr. Nabeel Martani, Dr. Ahmad Jawad.
Circa 200 attendees were ready during the sessions. The attendees received their attendance certificates after the presentations.
The ICOS 2016 conference aimed at touching premier interdisciplinary forum for researchers, practitioners and educators to present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, and practical challenges encountered and the solutions adopted in the field of Dentistry. It was expected that ICOS 2016 conference would be a magnet for a significant number of front-ranking academics, professionals and policy makers working in the broad areas of Dentistry.
