On February 28, 2018 Tishk International University hosted a two-hour workshop on Quality Assurance (QA) and Accreditation that aimed at presenting international perspectives related to Quality Assurance and Accreditation in Higher Education. This helps contribute to furthering the Quality Assurance process in Higher Education in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq. The workshop was organized by the Quality Assurance unit in coordination with the Computer Engineering department at Tishk International University. Tishk International University organized the 5th commemoration of Thanks to Martyrs which has been held on February 28, 2018, in Saad Abdullah Hall. In order to commemorate those who had been martyred by chemical bombing in Halabja, Anfal, uprising, and the recent terrorist group of ISIS. On February 21, 2018, one of our beloved students, Ahmad Farhad, 4th-grade, in the Architecture department passed away in an unexpected accident. The Deanery Students of Tishk International University  organized a commemoration ceremony. In the presence of Dr. Idris Hadi Salih, Head of Board of Trustees, the deceased’s family and a large number of University staff and friends. Dr. Idris Hadi Salih delivered a speech in loving memory of Ahmad Farhad, and then Ahmad’s friends distributed the Holy Quran to the attendees.   Tishk International University and Erbil Polytechnic University hosted 4th International Engineering Conference on Development in Civil & Computer Engineering Applications on February 26 and 27, 2018. The aim of the conference was to disseminate research findings and provide a platform for scholars to debate and exchange ideas on the developments in the field of engineering. The conference proceedings will be indexed by Google Scholar Databases and each paper will have DOI number.
