Civil engineering department of Tishk International University (TIU) with support of ACI Iraq chapter applied for getting approval to form TIU student chapter. The letter of approval was replied from ACI by 26th June 2019. It was the first time that one of the Iraqi universities can form ACI student chapter. The chapter is officially named as Tishk International University ACI student chapter. TIU ACI student chapter will be a platform to gather students of civil engineering from Iraqi Universities and makes them to have more interest on concrete through organizing concrete competitions. Dr. Fatih Cura, participated 3rd International Conference on Economics and Development 2019 as plenary speaker under the tile “: “4th Industrial Revolution and Ethical Concerns” which was held in Bangkok, Thailand from 13th June, 2019 to 14th June, 2019. Dr. Fatih represented Tishk International University in the conference and explained the accolades and growth rate of university during the past decade. Tishk International University and Erbil Polytechnic University hosted 5th International Engineering Conference (IEC2019) on June 23-25, 2019. IEC2019 is technically sponsored by IEEE and IEEE Iraq Section. The conference aimed to disseminate research findings and provide a platform for scholars to debate and exchange ideas on the developments in the field of engineering. The accepted papers will be indexed by IEEE Xplore Digital Library Database. Furthermore, the conference provides our graduate students a chance to establish communication with experienced researchers to discuss their current work as well as to be engaged in future research topics, and new opportunities. Tishk International University celebrated its 8th graduation which held at 8:00 PM on Wednesday, June 26, 2019, in the campus of Tishk International University. The ceremony started with a moment of silence for the martyrs of Kurdistan and the national anthem. Then some verses of Quran – Karim has been read by our student Muhammad Rashad. A promotion video was presented to Introduce TIU’s achievements to the guests and parents. A group of students came from Duhok city paid a visit to Tishk International University on June 20, 2019. The students were fresh students who had just finished (Wizari) Central National Examination, so they wanted to get information about their future careers and get a chance to see how a university life looks like. The group was welcomed and toured around the university by Mr. Fayaq Ali, Research Assistant, and Mr. Ridhwan, Club supervisors, and they were briefly informed about each departments.
