Proudly, we would like to inform the community that International Accrediation Institution ZEvA's Commission for International Affairs (KIA) has decided to accredit the Bachelors' program "Civil Engineering" at Tishk International University, Erbil, without any conditions and for a period of five years. Congratulations to all our staff who tried hard to make it happen and to the ones who supported during the process! Mathematics Education Department recently organized the 1st National Pop-Conference on Saturday, March 04, 2017 for its graduate students. Most of the universities around the world organize professional development programs for their senior students such as workshops, seminars, conferences and courses. As Mathematics Education Department, we decided to organize a National Pop-Conference for our senior students on March 04, 2017. Math Educators have been visited before the conference to invite them as a speaker. There were 10 speaker from seven different schools for a 35-minutes-interactive-speech. The President of Tishk International University, Prof. Dr. Ahmet OZTAS, has been invited to India to attend the International Conference on Research and Innovations in Science, Engineering and Technology in Gujarat as chief guest on the inaugural function and enlighten the conference with his keynote speech that fostered the conference in a positive direction and motivated the team as well as participants. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Oztas, as a keynote speaker, gave speech entitled “Current Trends in Engineering Education: Focused on Student Centered Learning” in the conference. With partnership of Ministery of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the volunteer students and staff, Tishk International University Deanery of Student held the fourth (4th) commemoration ceremony under the name of “Thanks for Martyrs” which was dedicated to the departed people who had been killed by chemical bombing in Halabja, Anfal, Raparin, and recent Martyrs by the attack of the terrorist group of ISIS. The ceremony was held in Saad Abdullah Conference Hall. To this spectacular event, ten Martyr families and injury person from ten different region of the Kurdistan have been invited.
