The tournament of the Speed Stacks organized by the Dean of Students was completed. The students showed great interest in the activity. The students Asawer Hassan, Büşra Tamtamış, Fatma Taha and Cihan Çete showed great success in the tournament. We thank all for their participation and giving us entertaining moments. As it is known, the Speed Stacks is a new type of modern sports which is organized in many places in the world. Second National Innovation Contest in Engineering (NICE 2016) was hosted by Tishk International University Engineering Faculty on May 16, 2016. NICE is a groundbreaking Engineering competition open to higher education students in Kurdistan Region. Project competition was held in three main categories: Computer Science and Engineering, Civil Engineering and Architecture Engineering. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Öztaş Tishk International President, Asst. Dean of Students arranged a Table Tennis Tournament between February 22, 2016 and May 10, 2016. From all departments, 28 students participated in the tournament in which all the students manifested a great friendship and fair play and showed their masteries. On May 10, the final match was played between Hezha Botan from Business and Goran Rasul from Civil Engineering departments at 1:00 pm. The champion was the Business' who had shown a thrilling performance against the Civil’s. Tishk International Career Center organized 3rd career center on the 10th of May, 2016which will be continuing until 12th May 2016. During these days, company CEOs will come to Tishk International University and present seminars for our students. This year about 25 seminars will be presented. The volunteer dentists and Pedodontics students arranged an event to the orphans house where they gave a free dental check and presents to the orphans. The students and the university administration actively attended the organization in which Prof. Dr. Ahmet Öztaş President, Dr. Mehmet Özdemir Vice President, Arif Çelebi Dean of Dentistry Faculty, Ercan Sezer Head of Department Mr. Rashad from Kar Vizierate, and Miss Kazhal Manager of Orphans were ready. Dr. Bushra Rashid, Ms. Rojan Arif, Ms. Jale Tahsin Academics of the Dentistry Faculty and the second and fourth year students from the Pedodontics Department participated and that was dedicated to the orphans, including psychological support, health aspects and educational needs.
