Tishk International and Salahaddin Universities organized 2nd International Conference on Ecology, Environment and Energy. The program started with the Welcome Reception in Salahaddin University's Culture Center the day before. On April 12, Opening Ceremony was held in Tishk International 100 Meter Campus. Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Yusuf Goran and Representatives of the Government honored the Conference Hosts with their participation. Following the National Anthem of Kurdistan, Keynoters, Prof. Dr. Zafer Ayvaz and Prof. Dr. Bahram Khidher Maulood made their presentations. Spaghetti Competition was held by Civil Engineering Department at Tishk International University. The competition was spectacular between ambitious groups. Ten groups attended the competition, the groups competed between each other according to the heaviest load that can be carried by their spaghetti bridge. The bridge which has the first place carried 78 kg load, the one which has the second place carried 58 kg load, and the one which has third place carried 30 kg. 78 kg has been the national record among these kind of spaghetti competitions in Kurdistan. Business & Management Department is organizing an event to help Peshmerga forces starting on 7th April 2015, Tuesday to 13th of April from 9 am till 3 pm. This is a campaign to raise logistics support. We collect 3 types materials water, biscuits and phone credits (Korek, Asiacell, Zain or any other). We appreciate your support. Tishk International University welcomed  Intellectuals. Private Ronaky School which is a member of Fezalar Education Company organized a courtesy visit to Tishk International University. The parents, Mr. Sherzad (Salahaddin University Law Faculty Dean), Mr. Muhammed (Vice Dean of Engineering Faculty at SUH), Mr. Sefin Hamid (Journalist) and Mr. Abdulvahab (Theologist) were accompanied by Mr. Memduh Gücer (Principal), Mr. Wrya (Vice-Principal), Mr. Hasan Ali Göz (PR). Vice-President of KRG Kosrat Rasul Ali welcomed Tishk International and Fezalar Authorities. Prof. Dr. Ahet Öztaş in accompany with General Director of Fezalar Educational Company and Mr. Fatih Cingöz and Vice General Director Mr. Vasfi Yasin paid a visit to Vice-President. The parties had a conversation in a very friendly atmosphere. Mr. Cingöz gave information about the studies and activities held by Fezalar Institutions as well as President Öztaş informed the Vice-President on the projects and studies of the university. Tishk International University Law Faculty organized a discussion panel on "The Reactions against the Violation of Human Rights."
