A delegation from Baghdad visited Tishk International University on 18th May 2021, and were welcomed by Dr. Idris Hadi, Head of Board Trustees, and Asst. Prof. Abdulsamad Salahadin Ahmad, President of Tishk International University. The delegation consisted of Prof. Munir Hamid Alsaadi, Baghdad University Rector, Prof. Dr. Hamid Fadhil Al-Tamimi, Al-Mustansirya University Rector. Dr Idris Hadi presented a speech concerning the university plans, targets, achievements, successes, facilities, departments, and scientific and social activities of Tishk International University. A Memorandum of Understanding MOU was previously signed between Tishk International University TIU and Entrac Petroleum Ltd EPL, based in London, which is a well-known consultancy and training provider for the oil industry. According to this MOU, the first training session entitled “IWCF and IADC/Well Control” has taken place at the premises of Tishk International University (TIU) during the week starting on 24.4.2021 until 29.4.2021, and was completed successfully. Dr. Aram Mohammed Qadir, Minister of Higher Education & Scientific Research, and a delegation from the Ministry visited Tishk International University (TIU) on May 9th, 2021. They were warmly welcomed by Asst. Prof. Dr. Idris Hadi, Head of the Board of Trustees, Asst. Prof. Dr. Abdul Samad, Acting President, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ozdemir, Academic Vice President, Asst. The Directorate of Safety & Health in Tishk International University invited a special medical team to conduct a PCR test for all academic staff, security, cleaning services, and cafeteria staff. Due to the rapid increase of cases in the last couple of months in the Kurdistan Region, the Presidency of Tishk International University decided to provide Covid-19 tests to ensure the health and safety of our administrative staff lecturers, and students. American Concrete Institute and Tishk International University (ACI-TIU) student chapter in collaboration of ACI Salahadin Uiversity Student Chapter under the supervision of ACI Iraq Chapter, organized an annual competition titled Fiber Reinforced Concrete Bowling Ball. Civil Engineering students from different universities (Salahadin University, Raparin University, Erbil Polytechnic University and Tishk International University) participated in this years’ competition, which was hosted by the Civil Engineering Department of TIU.The rules of the competition were simple and succinct.
