The Dean of Students of Tishk International University (TIU) organized a football tournament for all departments of TIU, starting on February 1st, 2021 to April 11th, 2021. The aim of the football tournament is to help the young generation learn how to distinguish between effort and ability. It also helps increase self-discipline and awareness of the value of preparation, which is noticed by the difference in their performance. The Presidency of Tishk International University (TIU) visited the Governor of Erbil on April 11th, 2021. The aim of the visit was to congratulate the recently appointed Governor of Erbil, Mr. Omed Khoshnaw, on his new position. Tishk International University organized a tree planting event within the scope of the Tree Planting Project. The event was arranged on March 14th, 2021, with the cooperation of the Directorate of Gardens and Parks Engineering. The Dean of Students of Tishk International University (TIU) launched a table tennis tournament on February 8th, 2021, for all TIU students. The tournament lasted for one month, during which 94 players participated. The final match was held with the contribution of both students and lecturers. Table Tennis is a sport in which two or four players hit a lightweight ball back and forth using table tennis rackets. The game is conducted on a hard table divided by a net. The Dean of Students of Tishk International University hosted a chess tournament for students. Twenty students registered to participate in the games. The tournament was conducted in a 4-rounds way, in which each player had a chance to play four times. They all performed energetically and with great enthusiasm throughout the tournament, marking a valuable and enjoyable experience. On March 3rd, 2021, the contest ended with Mustafa Hussein winning 1st place and Muhib Nashwan taking the 2nd. On World Planting Day, Continuing Education Center at Tishk International University (TIU) organized an event in collaboration with the Sabati  Kchan, governmental schools, Erbil. Mrs. Dunya Ibrahim Qadir was the organizer and Mr. Farman Shukr was the coordinator of the event, and the students from Sabati  Kchan school attended the campaign and they were so delightful. It was one of the activities that each year TIU organized to increase the green area in our region. Dozens of trees were planted in the yard of the school.
