As a part of the Staff Exchange Program between Tishk International University (TIU) and Freiberg University/ Germany, The Vice President for Academic Affairs of TIU, Dr. Mehmet Ozdemir, attended the program’s sessions held on 15 to 19 July 2019 in Freiberg University. During the program, Dr. Mehmet made some meetings with the TIU students who are engaged in Student’s Exchange Program at Freiberg University. Additionally, Dr. Mehmet held a meeting with the presidency of Freiberg University to discuss some issues related to the staff/student exchange programs and the plans related to the Joint Master Program between the two Universities. First-year students of Biology, Physics and Math departments conducted a workshop about “The Effective methods for learning languages practically” on Wednesday 23rd May. Mr. Sarwan Hasan (a lecturer in ELT Department) organized and supervised the workshop with the Cooperation of Foundation teachers (Mr. Unal, Mr. Fatih, and Mr. Rizgar). The workshop contained 18 different ideas as effective methods for learning languages practically. It started at 12:00 PM at the entrance of the Faculty of Education and continued for two hours. Continual Education Center of Tishk International University has organized a Certification Appreciation Ceremony for the participants of “English & Turkish” courses level “Starter and Elementary” in recognition for finishing the course successfully. The ceremony was organized to motivate students to continue their hardworking and to develop their language more. Students were so pleased and thankful to the IUCEC. The staff of the center and lecturers wish the best for the students.
