Within Tishk International University’s training plan for the Academic Year 2017-2018, Academic Vice President’s Office coordinated an orientation workshop that was carried out on October 31, 2017 and November 02, 2017. All Academic Staff who newly joined Tishk International University’s family were invited to participate in this workshop. The purpose of the event is to provide the new Lecturers with a brief introduction to Tishk International University’s policies, processes and systems crucial to the best educational procedure. A delegation from Erbil Poly Technic University visited Tishk International University on September 26, 2017. The delegation consists of Assit. Prof. Dr. Kawa Sherwani President of Erbil Poly Technic University and Dr. Nageb Toma Rassam Head of Delegation, Asist Prof. Dr Hoshyar Amin Ahmad, Dr. Ranj Sirwan Abdullah, Dr. Botan Majeed Ahmad, Assist. Prof Dr. Goran Qader Othman. Table Tennis Tournament for all students organized by Student Deanery on May 20th, 2017. Tournament continued for one week and 76 players participated. In the final match, two players took a place: Hezha Botan and Niyaz Hakim. After a beautiful game, Hezha Botan won the title and become the first students to win the title for three continuous year. Dr. Idrees Hadi Head of Board of Trustees awarded the first and second player for their performance and motivated them to participate in upcoming activates.

Tishk International Football made a friendly football match with American University of Suleimani. The match was held on American University’s Campus on April 30th, 2017. The purpose of the match was to start collaboration between universities and looking the further steps for stronger cooperation in the following prospective events. The match started in a friendship atmosphere until the end. The result was 5 for American University and 4 for Tishk International University. The players enjoyed the match, at the end they took memorial photos.    

  Civil Engineering Department organized a ceremony on May 9th, 2017 to celebrate the ZEvA international accreditation for BA program of Civil Engineering at Tishk International . Members of board of Trustee Dr. Jabar and Dr. Husain Khanaqa attended this meaningful event. Vice Presidents and Dean of Engineering Faculty, as well, participated to the ceremony. Lecturers and students, altogether, of Civil Engineering Department celebrated this significant accreditation in the program. Meanwhile, the top three students of each class have awarded by plaque. On March 23rd, 2017, Civil Engineering Department accredited internationally by ZEvA Agency for a period of five years.
