On 3rd March, 2016, a panel entitled “Honor Killing” has been held at ISHIK University by Consulate General of the United States of America – Erbil. For that purpose, Consular Assistant Michele A. Perrin and Cultural Affairs Specialist Dler Ali Hamad from Consulate visited our university. A short meeting was held before panel between Tishk International Univerity President Prof. Dr. Ahmet Oztas, Dean of Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Economics, and Ms. Perin and Mr. Hamad. Mr. Oztas gave a brief info as to our university’s mission and vision as well as its role, our contribution to the region, future plans, and thoughts on the regions.
Besides that, the main theme of the conversation and discussion was about on prospective partnership and cooperation for further activities in future between Tishk International University and Consulate, especially on regional activities and seminars of Tishk International ’s yearly plan.
