Delegation from Thailand Visits Tishk International University

Tishk International University (TIU) had the pleasure of receiving a delegation from Thailand on August 29th. Mr. Supark Prongthura, the Ambassador of Thailand, for the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, who assisted the delegation, was also accompanied by a number of prominent figures from Chulalongkom University.

The delegation consisted of other important participants such as Dr. Winai Dahlan, the Founding Director of The Halal Science Center, Dr. Srawut Aree, Director of the Muslim Studies Centre, Dr. Anat Denyingyhott, Assistant Director, The Halal Science Centre, among other delegates. Their tour emphasized the growing educational and cultural relations between Thailand and the Kurdistan Region. Prof. Dr. Sultan Abu Orabi, President of TIU along with Assist. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ozdemir and Assist. Prof. Dr. Fatih Cura warmly welcomed the delegation. Both parties were able to discuss the possibility of cooperation regarding education, science and culture.

The topics revolved around the ways of enhancing the interactions between TIU and Chulalongkom University in particular halal science and Muslim studies which are of paramount relevance to the two institutions. This amicable meeting ended with exchange of gifts and assurance of collaboration in the near future. This visit marks a significant step towards expanding TIU’s international partnerships, further cementing its reputation as a leading academic institution in the region.
