Job vacancy: Full & Part-time lecturers
Tishk International University-Erbil is looking for qualified candidates to apply for the position of full-time lectureship at the Department of International Relations & Diplomacy. Details description of the job is given below:
- Prepare and deliver lectures to undergraduate students
- Undertake relevant educational activities such as seminars, presentations and study groups
- Prepare exam papers and supervise undergraduate projects
- Undertake any other tasks assigned either by the university, the related faculty or/and the department
- Contribute to the development of the department, the faculty and the university as a whole
- Be actively involved in research and academic activities to promote the academic profile of their department and the university
- To work collaboratively with other colleagues at the faculty and the university level
Qualification
Preferably PhD and minimum MA/MSc in the following or related areas:
Diplomacy
History
International Relations
Political Sciences
Public/Social Policy
Sociology
Essentials
- At least 3 years teaching experience in related areas
- To have at the minimum, the scientific title of ‘Assistant Lecturer’
- Excellent communication skills, interpersonal and intercultural skills
- Proficiency in English language (preferably 6 IELTS or its equivalent)
- Teamworking skills
- Knowledge of other languages mainly (Kurdish, Arabic and Turkish) is an asset
