Dr Tola Faraj, Head of the Medical Analysis Department/Applied Science, Faculty of Science at Tishk International University (TIU), represents TIU as a Fulbrighter in Washington, DC. Dr Faraj is one of the twenty-five candidates in Iraq, including the Kurdistan Region, to participate in the Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program hosted by the University of Central Oklahoma in the College of Mathematics & Science. Dr FARAJ presented his strategic action plan that he is planning to apply to the home university (TIU).

After his vital participation in different workshops, talks, research, and cultural activities, his main goal is how to support students more concerning the teaching styles, from the way of delivering knowledge to producing learning.

During the 2022 Fulbright Junior Faculty Development Reentry Workshop in Washington DC, Dr Faraj had the opportunity to meet with several guests, speakers, and staff, including the Program Officer, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs at the U.S. Department of State, President and Co-Founder of the Capital Communications Group, and the Program Officer and assistant of Fulbright Program at Amideast. Dr Faraj handed the plaquette of TIU to the Director of the Fulbright Program in the U.S. as a symbol of fellowship and future collaboration.
