Dr. Tola Faraj, Vice Dean of Faculty of Applied Sciences Presents Molecular Biology Lab Achievements at TIU Council Meeting
The visit represented a pivotal advancement in fortifying partnerships between TIU and global biotech institutions, with the objective of augmenting the university’s research proficiencies in molecular biology and genetics. The team was acquainted with various PCR technologies, including real-time PCR (qPCR), digital PCR, and conventional PCR systems. These devices possess extensive applications in diagnostics, research, and academic instruction. The experience enhanced the team’s expertise and facilitated the incorporation of advanced technologies into TIU’s laboratories, thereby elevating the university’s reputation in molecular biology research and education.
Dr. Faraj conveyed profound appreciation to TIU’s affiliated medical enterprises and laboratories (RISC, ALKHORA, Black Pearl, and Biotech Lab) for their significant assistance during the visit. He recognised the productive meeting with experts at the Cell Therapy Centre (CTC) at the University of Jordan, which enhanced the team’s knowledge and encouraged possible future collaborations. At the end of the presentation, ALKHORA company awarded a plaque of appreciation to Tishk International University, representing the robust partnership and mutual dedication to enhancing molecular biology research and education.
