Dr. Azad Hama Shekhany, Head of Architecture Engineering Department, Tishk International University, won the best prize for 2019 in an international web-based artistic competition called “Red Line Art Works” among thousands of artists from 40 countries. On April 04, 2019, Tishk International University opened an exhibition for celebrating and welcoming the auspicious arrival of spring, the season of various kinds of flowers. The exhibition reflected this very facet of spring by providing various kinds of spring flowers such as tulips, daffodils, and many other types of flowers. Civil engineering department in collaboration with ACI-Iraq chapter organized two competitions on April 03, 2019, Spaghetti Bridge and FRC bowling ball. More than 80 students participated in the competitions from universities in Erbil region such as Salahaddin University. The FRC bowling ball competition is the first time that held in Iraq under supervision of ACI- Iraq Chapter. The FRC bowling ball were evaluated through three steps; first: the bowling game, second: the drop test, and the compression test. For Spaghetti Bridge the more load sustained one become the winner. At the beginning of the new academic year 2018-2019, a community service project was given to the faculty of pharmacy by deanery of students. This project aims to help autism patients. At first, a charity team was created and consisted of staff and students interested in charity group. After that, on December 18, 2018, the group visited Hana Autism Center, there a brief explanation of the autism and the center was given by Mrs. Zagros, the manager of the center, and a tour was made inside the center to meet the patients.
