Agreement-in-Principle with Rwanga Foundation

Mr. Dastan Qader Director of Projects and Mr. Rebin H. Arif Senior Field Coordinator in Rwanga Foundation were on the premises within the scope of Career Days event held on the campus on May 9th, 2017. The foundation representatives also visited Dr. Idris Hadi Head of Board of Trustees. The aim of the visit was to discuss a potential cooperation agreement between two institutions: Tishk International University and Rwanga Foundation. According to this cooperation, Tishk International students will be allowed to conduct their projects and plans in project-based events. The details of the collaboration will be released soon.

Health and Safety Committee of Tishk International University, in cooperation with Dr. Karzan Mohammad the project designer performed an evacuation drill with a fake fire alarm system with the response of the governmental sectors Erbil Traffic Police, Erbil Police, Sardam Hospital, Nawroz Fire Station on May 7th, 2017. There was a fake fire alarm at 10:00 a.m. in the main building of Tishk International University in order to train staff and students how to act during emergencies and fire. On May 2nd, Head of the EU Delegation in Erbil Clarisse Pazstory visited Tishk International University for a visiting lecture. Ms. Pazstory was welcomed and briefed by the Vice President Dr. Umed Aruzery about the academic and extracurricular life at Tishk International University. Ms. Pazstory's presentation mainly addressed two issues; the foreign policy of the EU and EU'S work related to Iraq and Kurdistan.
