The American Mathematics Competitions (AMC) is the most prestigious and popular Math Contest in USA and was held in IRAQ in November, 2016. The American Mathematics Competitions are a series of examinations and curriculum materials that build problem-solving skills and mathematical knowledge in middle and high school students. It was organized in 7 cities of IRAQ and 635 students participated to AMC 8. The Tishk International University was the host for AMC 8 and 196 students participated in Erbil. Darashukran and Qushtapa refugee camps will host our ELT students for Educational help to the refugees. The project had been lunched last year by Dr. Numan Kanar in the purpose of providing and helping people who are in educational need in the refugee camps. ELT department students are in action again. Although they are overwhelmed by various tasks and assignments, they’re started their teaching in refugee camps. As we all know, ELT students organized teaching sessions in Darashukran refugee camp last year. Tishk International University was awarded for this project. Mayor of Erbil Municipality Saman Mohammed Ahmed with the municipal officers visited Tishk International University on November 28, 2016. Municipal delegates were welcomed at Tishk International University for a short meeting by Head of Board of Trustees Dr. Edris Hadi and Tishk International President Prof. Dr. Ahmet Öztaş.
