The web editors gathered in a meeting for a workshop on web editing. The meeting took place in the main building in 415 at 15.45. The representatives from all units of the university were ready in the meeting. The aim of the meeting was to orient the web editing for the upcoming webometrics ranking. Commemoration Ceremony for “Sahand Luqman”

On September 07, 2016, one of our beloved students had a heartbreaking and unexpected accident. His name was Sahand Luqman Fawzy who was a freshman in the Architecture Department. His friends did not forget him and his family so they prepared a "Memorial Ceremony" in co-operation with the Student Deanery to honor our late student's family. The ceremony was full of the emotional minutes in which his friends had prepared poems, speeches, songs and slides dedicated to him. Mr. Scott Reese, US Consular Officer in Erbil, visited our university in the purpose of giving a seminar as to upcoming US Elections which is going to be held on Thursday, November 08, 2016. Vice President Dr. Mehmet Ozdemir welcomed Mr. Scott Reese in the Office of President. Students of Tishk International University participated in the KRG Initiative for Internship Program under the management the Deputy Prime Minister Office. The interview for this internship program took place in the office of university presidency. The Adviser of Ministry of Higher Education had an interview with President Öztaş. As it is known, this program initiates and emphasizes the students' skills in the KRG. The program is also a link of the universities with sectors. A delegate from the Ministry of Higher Education of Iraq and KRG visited Tishk International University, today on Thursday, 3rd November 2016. The guests were welcomed by Dr. Idris Hadi Head of the Board of Trustees and Prof. Dr. Ahmet Öztaş President of Tishk International University. The subject of the visit was the accreditation of Tishk International University and its branches all over Iraq. The delegate expressed that the process will take some while but very soon, it will be approved since the university has been settled and established, especially the Dentistry Faculty deserves high stars.
