On April 10^th and 11^th, 2019, the Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Economics (FASE) of Tishk International University (TIU), and their partners from the University of Szczecin of Poland held the second annual International Conference on Accounting, Business, Economics and Politics (ICABEP 2019). The conference was attended by a large number of local and international researchers and academics.

Overall, the Scientific Committee of the Conference received close to 90 abstracts, which are published in the Abstracts Book. Each full paper submission was then sent to a blind review, resulting in a collection of 52 fully published papers were published in Conference Proceedings Books.

On its first day, the opening ceremony took place in the Saad Abdullah Palace, Erbil, and it was attended by a number of dignitaries, including diplomats, ministerial representatives, the presidency of the TIU and representatives from the University of Szczecin. Consular Generals and representatives of Poland, India, Japan, South Korea, Palestine, and Sri Lanka were present at the opening ceremony of the conference.

In term of the presentations of the accepted papers, for the rest of the conference, presentations were made in 4 parallel sessions, providing an excellent opportunity for the researchers to engage in constructive discussions and the sharing of their researches.

The organizing committees of the conference are proud to report that a large proportion of the submissions were made by scholars outside of the country, thus, making the conference truly international. In addition to this, researchers from various cities and institutions in Kurdistan and Iraq were also present.

The Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Economics of TIU intends to turn ICABEP into an annual event in which each year researchers around the world gather here in the city of Erbil to present and discuss the latest developments in the relevant research areas.
