As a tradition of the department, every year a group of students from the International Relations and Diplomacy department pay a field visit to the Kurdistan parliament. On December 11th. 2019, accompanied by the head of department and a number of staff from the department first and second year students visited Parliament. The visit which was well-organized by the Parliament Presidency included a presentation by Mr. Hemn Hawrami, deputy parliament speaker in which he covered Parliament Diplomacy and it was followed by a very instructive question and answer session where students came up with timely questions and the deputy speaker provided detailed answers. As part of the visit, students were also taken to parliament’s rich library where they were introduced to the library contents, parliament publications and terms of use. The parliament sitting hall was the final destination of the students where the structure of the hall was explained for the students and they had the chance to see the popular legislative body of the Kurdistan Region at the close.
Throughout their visit, the students had the chance to explore the historical, political and legislative properties of the Kurdistan Parliament.
