Social Community Projects and Clubs Introduction Event
On November 9th 2022, the Dean of Students at Tishk International University organised a mega event to demonstrate the role of our university in society through academic, social, scientific and community-serving projects. The event commenced with a welcoming speech delivered by the event host Biza Ismail.
A welcoming speech was also delivered by the Head of the Board of Trustees, Dr. Idris Hadi, who also spoke about the importance of universities in society and the role they play through social activities in enhancing the quality of learning and access to education. Throughout the event, students and visitors were introduced to TIU clubs (including Sports Club, Art Club, Music Club, Reading & discussion Club, Language Club, etc.) that take place at the university. Our staff and students had the chance to write their names to join their clubs of interest and participate in many other social activities.
The event primarily aimed to demonstrate the social community projects that are annually organised and supervised by different faculties. More than 25 social projects were exhibited. Each faculty had a significant role before and during the event, and their student and staff volunteers presented and explained their social projects to participants. The event also included a food fundraising section where funds were collected for charity.
