TIU Presidents Recognizes Fulbright ACAG Grant Winner Dr. Tola FARAJ for Outstanding Community Service
Sultan T. Abu-Orabi, President of Tishk International University (TIU) presented an appreciation letter to Dr. Tola FARAJ, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences, in recognition of his exceptional achievements and dedication to serving the community in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region. Dr. Faraj, a Fulbright ACAG grant recipient and Program Leader, was honoured for his commitment to advancing education and public health initiatives through impactful projects. His leadership in orchestrating the successful Fulbright ACAG program demonstrated a remarkable ability to unite academics, research assistants, and students from the Medical Analysis Department in collaborative efforts to address local challenges.
Under Dr. Faraj’s guidance, the program delivered innovative community-based initiatives, emphasizing public health, career development, and education while building sustainable connections between academia and the healthcare sector. The program, implemented with the support of a dedicated team and enthusiastic volunteers, has left a lasting impression on the region, benefiting students, educators, and the wider community.
