Dr. Idris Hadi Salih, Head of the board of Bard of Trustees and a delegation from Tishk International university are currently in the united states of America. The presidency team is planning to visit several academic institution and universities in the USA to widen the international relations of Tishk International University.
The Tishk International delegation has visited the Virginia International University (VIU) in Washington on November 07, 2018. Dr. Idris and his team were welcomed by Dr. Isa Sarac, President of VIU. As the first part of the meeting, Dr. Idris gave a presentation about the achievements, accreditations in the past ten years of Tishk International . After that in a responsive meeting, both sides were set plans to develop the academic relations.
As a first step both agreed and signed a memorandum of understanding between Tishk International and VIU. Secondly, the department of VIU affairs, under the direct supervision of VIU’s Executive Vice President, Dr. Suleyman Bahceci, responsible for academic collaborations and partnerships and director of IRO, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Öztaş showed their desire to set both academic staff and student exchange program. This program will provide the educational opportunities in different part preparing the students to thrive the marketplace.
One of the main points in MoU was planning to open a new Joint master program with VIU in the field of computer engineering and Information Technology. So the graduate student will have certified by a mutually signed certificate. In the end, Dr. Idris presented the plaque of appreciation to the president of VIU.
