Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq _ Tishk International University has officially launched a strategic partnership with AMIDEAST through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), marking a significant step toward enhancing international academic cooperation and educational exchange.

The MOU establishes a clear framework for collaboration between AMIDEAST and Tishk International University, built on mutual benefit and shared academic values. The partnership will focus on sharing best practices in English language teaching, promoting educational and cultural exchange, and strengthening academic cooperation and institutional capacity building.

The signing ceremony was honored by the presence of distinguished guests from the U.S. Consulate General in Erbil, including Ms. Sindhu Chidambaram, Deputy Public Affairs Officer, whose continued support for educational initiatives was highly appreciated. AMIDEAST was represented by its Country Director, Mr. Zack Bazzi, accompanied by his team. The implementation and follow-up of this agreement will be jointly supervised by Mr. Zack Bazzi, Country Director of AMIDEAST, and Dr. Tola A. FARAJ, Vice Dean of the Applied Science Faculty at Tishk International University and a Fulbright alumnus, ensuring effective coordination, sustained collaboration, and the successful achievement of the partnership’s objectives.

The event was attended by Tishk International University’s esteemed leadership and academic community, including Professor Dr. Idris Hadi, Head of the Board of Trustees, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ozdemir, Vice President for Academic Affairs. Also present were Prof. Dr. Faiq Hussain, the Dean of the Applied Science Faculty, Dean of Students, Heads of Departments, Directors of the International Relations Office and Research & Development, as well as academics, research assistants, and students, who remain at the heart of the university’s mission.
