Tishk International University Champions League 2022
The Dean of Students of Tishk International University (TIU) organized a football tournament for all departments of TIU, starting from February 1, 2022, to March 31, 2022. The TIU Champions League is a sports activity in which all departments engage in, held annually by the Dean of Students at Tishk International University. This year, the football tournament began on February 1st, and came to an end on March 31st, 2022.
The tournament aims to help the young generation to learn how to distinguish between effort and capability, increasing self-discipline and awareness of the value of preparation. These kind of activities also enable students to learn how to cooperate in harmony and peace.
In the tournament, forty-six teams from all departments of the university participated, and all had the chance to play in a friendly and great atmosphere with each other. The final match was played between the Faculty of Dentistry (3rd-grade, group A students) and Faculty of Law teams (2nd-grade students) on March 31, 2022 at 3 PM in front of a large number of student and staff fans. Towards the end, the Faculty of Law won the championship with penalty kick win. Medals and cups were awarded to the first and second team by Dr. Mohammed Abdulghani, Dean of Students, Dr. Hussein Balisani, Dean of Faculty of Law, and Lecturers of other departments. Also, medals were presented to the most influential team (Dentistry 1st-stage, Group B), best player, Darya Abubaker Sedeeq, top goal scorer, Ahmad Faruq, and best goalkeeper, Sarkar Ali, of the tournament.
We wish success to all teams who participated in the tournament and would like to assure that all participants have proven themselves as very skilled individuals who can achieve great successes. All have also demonstrated the art of fellowship through how well they collaborated and communicated as teams.
