Tishk International University hosted a distinguished ceremony to celebrate and award the top researchers and best-performing academic departments for the 2024–2025 academic year.
The event was graced by Prof. Dr. Sultan T. Abu Orabi, President of the Tishk International University; Asst. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ozdemir, Academic Vice President; and Dr. Fatih Cura, Admin. & Fin. Vice President, Deans of the faculties, Heads of the departments, and the unit directors. During the ceremony, the awardees were recognized for their exceptional contributions to research and academic excellence. The university leaders expressed their appreciation for the remarkable achievements accomplished throughout the year and reaffirmed their commitment to fostering innovation and scholarly distinction.
In his opening remarks, Prof. Dr. Sultan Abu Orabi emphasized the university’s unwavering commitment to fostering a culture of research excellence, innovation, and academic leadership. He noted that the accomplishments celebrated during the ceremony reflect the dedication of faculty members and the supportive environment cultivated across all departments.
The ceremony featured the recognition of Outstanding Researchers whose scholarly output, publications, and research initiatives significantly enhanced the university’s academic standing. Placards of Excellence were presented to the following top researchers:
1. Asst. Prof. Dr. Hussaini Bala – Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Economics
2. Asst. Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman Mahmoud Dogara – Faculty of Education
3. Prof. Dr. Ayad Mohammed Fadhil Al-Quraishi – Faculty of Engineering
4. Asst. Prof. Dr. Subasini Uthirapathy – Faculty of Pharmacy
5. Asst. Prof. Dr. Sewgil Saaduldeen Anwer – Faculty of Nursing
6. Asst. Prof. Dr. Jaafaru Sani Mohammed – Faculty of Applied Science
The event also highlighted the achievements of the Best-Performing Academic Departments, recognized for their exemplary academic performance, research engagement, and adherence to Quality Management System standards during the 2024–2025 academic year. These departments were:
