Tishk International University (TIU) successfully organized its 1st Student Graduation Project Competition (SGPC) on May 28–29, 2025, in Room 302 of the Main Building. This significant academic event provided a platform for senior bachelor students (4th and 5th grade) to showcase their graduation projects. It aimed to demonstrate their innovation and enhance their presentation and communication skills.

The competition aimed to:

  • Highlight and celebrate the innovative work of senior students.
  • Offer students the opportunity to present their projects, receive feedback, and refine their academic and professional skills.
  • Recognize outstanding projects and academic achievements through awards and certificates.

A total of 23 graduation projects from 12 departments were presented over the two-day event. To ensure smooth organization and fair evaluation, three committees were formed: the Steering Committee, the Scientific Evaluation Committee, and the Organizing Committee.

Day One Highlights

The event commenced with a welcome ceremony, featuring an opening speech delivered by Asst. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ozdemir, Vice President for Academic Affairs. Following the ceremony, presentation sessions began. Each group was allotted 10 minutes to present their project, followed by a Q&A session with the audience and evaluation panel.

Day Two and Award Ceremony

The second day continued with additional project presentations. It concluded with a prestigious award ceremony. The top three projects were celebrated for their excellence. All participants, supervisors, and committee members were honored with appreciation certificates for their contributions and involvement.

In a proud announcement, the top projects from the competition have been nominated to participate in the 26th Innovative Student Forum. This is scheduled to be held at Nazwa University in Oman in November 2025.

The 1st SGPC at Tishk International University marked a milestone in promoting student innovation and academic excellence. It sets the stage for even greater achievements in future editions of the competition.
