On February 23, 2025, Tishk International University’s (TIU) Faculty of Pharmacy successfully hosted the final round of the Future Pharmacy Leader (FPL) competition. This prestigious event began on November 25, 2024. Eight teams of third to fifth-year pharmacy students competed for the title.
The final match featured an intense battle between Team Stars and Team Pharma B. The event commenced with a Quran recitation by fourth-year student Muhamed Rasu, setting a respectful tone. Asst. Prof. Dr. Idris Hadi, Head of the Board of Trustees, welcomed attendees. He praised the Faculty of Pharmacy for its dedication to students. He also highlighted how such competitions shape students’ futures. Additionally, he mentioned TIU’s growing reputation and academic rankings.
In his speech, Asst. Prof. Dr. Sultan Abu-Orabi, President of TIU, commended the faculty’s efforts. He encouraged students to continue striving for excellence. Meanwhile, Asst. Prof. Dr. Abdulsamad Salahuddin, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, expressed pride in the students who initiated the competition. He also extended gratitude to the faculty members who helped bring it to life.
The FPL Final consisted of three competitive rounds. Both teams showcased their knowledge, critical thinking, and leadership skills. In a close and exciting contest, Team Stars emerged as the champions.
The event was generously sponsored by Yas Pharmacy Chain, Paris Day, Maccannoli, Haval Bookstore, Dara Medical, and Farmona. At the closing ceremony, certificates and gifts were presented to the winners, organizers, sponsors, and volunteers. This recognized their efforts in making the competition a great success.
The event concluded with a coffee break, engaging activities, and product displays by the sponsors. This allowed participants to network and celebrate their achievements.
The Faculty of Pharmacy extends heartfelt thanks to the Dean of Students’ representatives, Dr. Rojan and Dr. Zeynel. Their outstanding efforts organized the competition. Special appreciation also goes to Dr. Abdulsamad Salahuddin, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, and Dr. Mohammad Javed Naim, Head of the Pharmacy Department, for their invaluable support.
