TIU Collaborates with Brandenburg University of Applied Sciences, and Plays Key Role in Digitalization of Cultural Heritage Project
Tishk International University, located in Erbil, KRI, has emerged as a significant contributor to the “Project Innovation Hub – Digitalization of Cultural Heritage.” The university’s delegates, including Assistant Professor Dr. Idris Hadi Salih, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Dr. Safwan Mawlood Hussein, Head of Computer Engineering Mr. Musa M. Ameen, and Head of Computer Education Department Mr. Mohammed Anwer, attended a consolidating meeting held on May 28th to May 31st, 2023, as part of the DAAD Ta’ziz Science Cooperation & Short-Term Mobility Program.
During the meeting, which took place in Germany at Brandenburg University of Applied Sciences, experts and representatives from various institutions gathered to foster innovation and collaboration in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA Region). The objective was to establish innovative teaching methods, improve knowledge transfer from research results into teaching and society, and enhance the employability of graduates.
Tishk International University’s delegates actively participated in the meeting and played a crucial role in shaping the Project Innovation Hub – Digitalization of Cultural Heritage. They emphasized the importance of creating an online teaching platform that would enable students to access instructional materials, thereby enhancing learning experiences and facilitating knowledge transfer in the field of cultural heritage.
Furthermore, during the consolidating meeting, TIU’s delegates collaborated with Brandenburg University of Applied Sciences to exchange expertise and experiences in digitalization efforts. This collaboration aimed to leverage the strengths and knowledge of both institutions, fostering mutual learning and enhancing the digitalization of cultural heritage projects in Erbil and beyond.
The university’s delegates actively contributed to strategic planning for the upcoming project week in Jordan, drawing on their expertise in engineering, computer science, and education. By sharing insights and perspectives, they ensured that the curriculum and activities designed for the project week aligned with the goal of digitalizing cultural heritage.
Through its active involvement in the Project Innovation Hub – Digitalization of Cultural Heritage, Tishk International University is making significant contributions to the program’s objectives of fostering innovation, improving teaching quality, and preserving cultural heritage.
