Tishk International University (TIU) and Alfa University College (AUC) held an important virtual meeting. It took place on February 25, 2024, at 10:00 AM Iraqi Time. The meeting aimed to strengthen academic and institutional collaboration. Distinguished representatives from both universities attended.
Representing TIU were Prof. Dr. Sultan T. Abu-Orabi, the university president, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ozdemir, the academic vice president. Mr. Karwan Sherwani, acting dean of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Economics, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Jaafer Hussein, director of the International Relations Office, also participated.
From AUC, participants included Prof. Dr. Nurliza Haslin Binti Muslim, vice chancellor, and Prof. Madya Dr. Aszlan Bin Selamat, deputy vice chancellor. Severo Alon Ochoa, director of International Collaboration, and Jasim Nadheer Hussein, international education advisor, were also present.
The meeting allowed both institutions to present detailed overviews. They covered their academic programs, research initiatives, and institutional strengths. Ultimately, the meeting led to the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This formalized their partnership and established a framework for future joint initiatives.
