International Women’s Day is a global observance that celebrates the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. It also serves as a call to action for accelerating gender parity and advocating for women’s rights. Recognized annually on March 8th, this day emphasizes the importance of creating a more gender-balanced world, where every woman can live freely, without facing discrimination or limitations on their ambitions.

Tishk International University (TIU) celebrates International Women’s Day to highlight its commitment to gender equality and women’s empowerment within the academic community and beyond. By recognizing this day, TIU aims to inspire students, faculty, and staff to acknowledge the important role women play in the advancement of society and to continue fostering an environment that supports and celebrates women’s achievements.
