On February 23, 2025, Tishk International University’s (TIU) Faculty of Pharmacy held a prestigious White Coat Ceremony. This event officially welcomed first-year students into the pharmacy profession.
The ceremony began with a warm address by Asst. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ozdemir, Vice President for Academic Affairs. He congratulated the students on reaching this important milestone. Dr. Muhammed Abdulghani, Dean of Students, spoke about the responsibilities and ethics associated with wearing the white coat. Dr. Abdulsamad Salahuddin, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, highlighted the symbolic importance of the white coat. He emphasized it as a sign of professionalism and dedication to patient care.
To reinforce these values, Dr. Mohammad Javed Naim, Head of the Pharmacy Department, led the students in the professional oath. They pledged their commitment to ethical practice and lifelong service in healthcare.
The ceremony concluded with a celebratory cake cutting and group photos. This marked the beginning of the students’ journey in the field of pharmacy.
