Erbil, Kurdistan Region – April 14, 2025 — Tishk International University (TIU) solemnly observed a Remembrance Day and Tree Planting for Peace. This event honored the victims of the Kurdish Genocide, known as the Anfal Genocide. It paid tribute to over 182,000 Kurdish civilians who lost their lives during one of the darkest periods in Kurdish history. The ceremony began with a recitation from the Holy Quran. Tishk International University (TIU) proudly participated in the 2nd Conference on Digitalization of Cultural Heritage. The American University of Beirut – Mediterraneo (AUB Med) hosted this event in Paphos, Cyprus, on April 7, 2025. The conference operated under the Project Innovation Hub (PIH) umbrella.
