On December 4th, 2019, the International Relations Office of the TIU in collaboration with the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy (IRD)of the university organised a workshop for the Consul General of the Republic of Korea to Kurdistan. The Consul General Dr Choi Kwang-Jin was first welcomedby the president of the university, Dr Idris Hadi, and Head of the International Relations Office, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Öztaş. Tishk International University (TIU) held a fabulous opportunity for the 12th-grade high school students of (Gara High School, Zanyary Private School, Fakhir Mergaswr School and Aga High School from massif) between November 21-27 and December 01-03-05, 2019, to visit TIU campus. Nearly 500 students visited TIU during these 5 days. They were all welcomed warmly by the university staff. They were led around and introduced to all departments of TIU. The Faculty of Pharmacy organized the white coat ceremony for the first-grade students on November 28, 2019 in the presence of Dr. Muath Sheet, Dean of Pharmacy faculty, Dr. Esra Bayrakdar, The Head of Department, Mr. Ali Bala, Dean of students, Mrs. Emine Bala, Dr. Zeynel Polat, Dr. Rozhan Arif, the representatives of Dean of Students office in addition to a group of Pharmacy faculty staff. Dean of Student of Tishk International University organized a seminar entitled “The theory of colors and the importance of color in human life”, on November 24, 2019, which was presented by Dr. Mustafa Zangana, writer and Lecturer at our university. Students and other lecturers from various departments attended the seminar and they were very interested in the topic of the seminar. Dr. Mustafa Zangana, emphasized on color theory and the meaning of each color thoroughly. The seminar ended up by Q&A session from the audience.

The Iraqi Young Leaders Exchange Program was at Tishk International University on December 01, 2019 to gave a presentation about how to apply to the IYLEP program which is a fully funded program by US Embassy that sends undergraduate and high school students to the United States of America for cultural and educational purposes. IYLEP is a program that takes students from all over Iraq to America to educate them on the American culture, to enrich their imaginations, to improve their critical thinking and the ability to develop themselves. On Monday December 02, 2019, the Business Management department of Tishk International University held a dynamic workshop on entrepreneurship; focusing on the contemporary issues facing start-ups both in Iraq and internationally, and how to overcome these barriers to launch an innovative, successful start-up. Following a short opening statement from moderator Matthew Moore, Ava Nadir was welcomed to begin her presentation.
