Over a number of discrete high-level meetings, a delegation representing Tishk International University (TIU), under the presidency of Dr. Idris Hadi Salih (Head of the board of trustees), visited the recently appointed Ministers of the Interior and Electricity on August 26, 2019. In the first meeting, the delegation was welcomed by Mr. Kamal Muhammed Salih, Minister of Electricity of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG). On October 2018, the partnership between Tishk International University (TIU), Antwerp Waasland Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Belgium and  Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry. To support the senior staff of private companies in Erbil through training sessions in managerial problems and issues that may encounter private companies. These training sessions are conducted once a month, the topics of the sessions are chosen and prioritized by the companies themselves, 17 private companies. A delegation representing Tishk International University (TIU) presidency visited Iraqi Kurdistan Parliament on August 22, 2019. The delegation was welcomed by Dr. Rewaz Fayaq, President of the Iraqi Kurdistan Parliament, Mrs. Muna Qahwachy and Mr. Hemin Hawramy, Vice Presidents of the Iraqi Kurdistan Parliament. Dr. Idris Hadi Salih, Head of the Board of Trustees of TIU congratulated them for their new positions. The deputy speaker of the Iraqi parliament council, Dr. Basher Khalil visited Tishk International University (TIU) where he was warmly welcomed by Dr. Idris Hadi Salih, Head of the Board of Trustees and University President on August 11, 2019. During a brief meeting, Dr. Idris Hadi delivered a short message about the history of TIU as a private university in the Kurdistan Region. He introduced the faculties and facilities of the TIU as well as revealing future plans of TIU for enhancing education quality. Tishk International University has been conducting a project which is focused on Religious and Cultural Diversity in Kurdistan and supported by German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) in collaboration with Potsdam University from Germany, Salahaddin University and Catholic University for two years. Within the scope of the ongoing project, three delegations from three universities consisted of ten academic staff and sixteen students attended a summer school in Potsdam between June 28 and July 12 for fifteen days. Twenty five years ago, an International Conference on Population & Development, ICPD held in Cairo, Egypt, with the participation of 179 world leaders aimed to help women, impower and promote their access to a better reproductive health services.
