On February 14, 2019, Tishk International University received an appreciation letter from International Organization of Migration for contribution and supporting the ride on bike marathon. The delegation of IOM was Mr. Nicolas, HILL Programme Coordinator and Mr. Avand Hassan, Public Information Officer, they were welcomed by Dr. Wasfi Kahwachi, Admin. & VicenVice President, Mr. Sarhang Othman and Mr. Ahmad Nadhmi. Faculty of Law at Tishk International University gained the accreditation certificate from the Association of Arab Universities for the program of Law faculty as a first faculty between all law faculties in Kurdistan and Iraq. On February 11, 2019, by the presence of the president of TIU, Dr. Idris Hadi Salih and dean of law faculty, Dr. Adnan Abdullah Rashid. The justice symbol statue at law faculty was opened in a ceremony by the participation of the academic staff of law faculties and students. Andrei Stanescu Head of Romanian Consular Office in Erbil visited Tishk International University and welcomed by Dr. Idris Hadi Head of Board of Trustees and President of Tishk International University on February, 26th, 2019. During this short meeting, Dr. Idris Hadi presented Tishk’s general information. He introduced faculties and facilities of the university as well as mentioned about Tishk’s future plans. Tishk International University (TIU) held fabulous opportunity for 12th grade of high school students. On February 19,20,21 of 2019, “Visit Your Future” took place on our campus. The Final Stage of the 5th Future Inventors Olympiad Project (FIOP) was held on February 16, 2019, at Ronaki International School in Erbil in the presence of representatives from Ministry of Education, Academics, Directors, high schools’ teachers, students’ family and their friends. Future Inventor Olympiad was organized in collaboration with Kurdistan Regional Government Ministry of Education, Ronaki Hawler Education Company, and Tishk International University. During November 2018 – February 2019 a series of seminars and workshops were conducted as part of the Teacher Professional Development Training Program (TPDTP). TPDTP was designed to: further develop the competence of teaching staff at Tishk International University; promote best practices in the teaching process; stimulate effective strategies for student learning; and enhance research productivity and outputs.
