In January 10, 2019, Tishk International University celebrated the Accreditation Certificate Awarding for Law Department. The certificate was issued as a result of the evaluation conducted by the Experts Panel of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center of AArU (The Association of Arab Universities) on the Law Bachelor Degree Program of Tishk International University. The celebration ceremony started with a speech performed by the Chairman of the Board of Trustee and acting President of the University Dr. Idris Hadi Salih. On the date of 10th of January, 2019, Tishk International University organized an event to change the flag, by bringing down the Tishk International University Flag and Raising The Tishk International University flag. The event started at 10:00 am, during the event Dr. Idrtis Hadi Head of Board of Trustees and the president of Tishk International University, mentioned about the process and congratulated the students for the event, he talked about the reasons for being international, that the university applies all the conditions to be an International University. On January 08, 2018, The vice president of Jagiellonian University in Poland “Professor Adam Jelinek” and’ Dr.karolina Rak “ who is also part of the middle east and north at the Institute of the middle and far east, have visited Tishk University Campus — with the aim to make a collaboration with Tishk University & shortly Signing a memorandum of understanding with each other. International Relation Office organized a seminar under the title The idea of Polish “Orientalness” - a researcher's story of Islam in Poland on January 8th, 2019 The seminar was presented by Dr. Karolina Rak who is also part of the Middle East and North Africa Department at the Institute of the Middle and the Far East. Dr. Karolina Rak with prof. Adam Jelonek has been welcomed by President, Vice Presidents, and Director of International Relations Office. A scientific trip for the students of second stage / Department of Architecture was held within the requirements of perspective and freehand drawing lecture to Erbil citadel on Monday, December 03, 2018. The students drew scenes for heritage houses in Erbil citadel under the supervision of two lecturers, Mr. Qutaiba Abdullah, and Mr. Sirwan Refaat The goal of the drawing lecture was to reviving the local heritage of Erbil citadel by drawing old houses and monuments.    

The 2nd National Nanotechnology Workshop was organized by Physics Education Department, Education Faculty, Tishk International University on Dec 23 and 24, 2018 at Ishık University, Education Faculty Building in Erbil. The opening ceremony started on Dec 23rd with a welcoming speech beside an introduction about the university profile was given by the head of board of trustees of Tishk International University, Dr. Idris Hadi Salih. His speech included the mission and vision and the future prospect of the Tishk International University. The workshop lasted two days and finished on Dec 24th, 2018.
