On November 22-23, 2018 the first module of (Professional Clinical Orthodontic) course has been started. The opening ceremony speech presented by vice president of Tishk International University Dr. Wasfi Kahwachi. Mr. Andy Raben, Special Advisor at the U.S. Department of State in the Office of the Under Secretary for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs visited Tishk International University with a delegation from US general consulate- Erbil on November 19, 2018. Tishk International University organized an event regarding the World's Diabetes Day on November 14, 2018, in front of the main building. Both students and departmental staff of medical analysis jointly prepared this event. Dr. Mehmet Ozdemir, Academic Vice President and Dr. Wasfi kahwachi, Admin. & Fin. Ministry of higher education and scientific research in KRG, each year announce the national university ranking (NUR) for the private and governmental universities in separate groups.  This year’s ceremony held on Saad Abdullah palace in the presence of all the presidency members of the universities in Kurdistan.
