A workshop presented by Society of Petroleum Engineers- Erbil Section (SPE) in the Department of Petroleum and Mining Engineering at Tishk International University on November 14, 2018. The workshop is a part of SPE program called Distinguished Lecturer (DL), where each year, SPE selects a group of professionals, nominated by their peers, to share their knowledge and expertise with SPE members through visits to local sections. Tishk International University joined the global community in commemorating the 100th anniversary of the end of the World War One (WWI) which was ended on November 11, 1918. In a joint student and staff activity which was organized by both Department of International Relations and the Law Faculty that marked 100 years since the end of the WWI. The event included poster and image exhibition covering major areas of the war as well as two seminar presentation from staff at the Law Faculty in which they addresses the historical and legal implications of the war 100 years back.   The activities [...]

Dr. Idris Hadi Salih, Head of the board of Bard of Trustees and a delegation from Tishk International university are currently in the united states of America. The presidency team is planning to visit several academic institution and universities in the USA to widen the international relations of Tishk International University. The Tishk International delegation has visited the Virginia International University (VIU) in Washington on November 07, 2018. Dr. Idris and his team were welcomed by Dr. Isa Sarac, President of VIU. Some of ISHIK University staffs and students hiked to the Safin Mountain on Saturday, November 03, 2018. Student Deanery organized a fabulous Hiking event to those who interest and love the nature of Kurdistan. Hiking, walking in nature as a recreational activity. Especially among those with sedentary occupations, hiking is a natural exercise that promotes physical fitness, is economical and convenient, and requires no special equipment. Because hikers can walk as far as they want, there is no physical strain unless they walk among hills or mountains.
