The 2nd National Nanotechnology Workshop was organized by Physics Education Department, Education Faculty, Tishk International University on Dec 23 and 24, 2018 at Ishık University, Education Faculty Building in Erbil. The opening ceremony started on Dec 23rd with a welcoming speech beside an introduction about the university profile was given by the head of board of trustees of Tishk International University, Dr. Idris Hadi Salih. His speech included the mission and vision and the future prospect of the Tishk International University. The workshop lasted two days and finished on Dec 24th, 2018. On December 11th, 2018. The Minister of Higher Education has awarded The Dean of Science Faculty of ISHIK University (Dr. Karzan Mohammad) Researcher of the Year 2018 in Kurdistan Region. The title of best researcher in the region has been given to Dr. Mohammad from ISHIK University based on the research activity and publication impact that he has achieved during the academic year of 2017-2018. Dr. Mohammad has published 10 articles during the year in one of the best journals in the world (The Lancet). The publications were regarded as references for many agencies in the world in including the WHO. [...]

On December 20, 2018, Dean of Students finalized the Mercy Corner Project by delivering the collected donations for the Hassan Sham Camp, which there are 1200 IDPs families living in there that most of them from Mosul. The amount of the donations estimated to be around 40,000 $ which we prepared a package for each family includes (men cloth, women cloth, toys, 5 kg of rice, two bottles of oil, lentils, shoes, blanket, diaper, socks, two types of kids clothes, baby clothes). On December 12, 2018, ISHIK University Opened an Exhibition about Human Rights. The Exhibition included several artistic drawings, which were the products of ISHIK students and the respected teacher Mrs. Xumar, the drawing reflected the adversities that humans undergo throughout their life. It started at 10:00 am in the morning and continued until 2 PM in the afternoon. The exhibition was supervised by the Dean of students with some volunteer who shared the joying of organizing such an exuberant event. A fabulous seminar under the title (Lung Cancer Awareness) was held at Tishk International University in cooperation with Macos Organization on Thursday, December 12, 2018. Dr. Sideeq Sadir Ali, MSc. holder in Adult Nursing presented a seminar for the students and staffs of our university in the conference hall of education building. Student Deanery of Tishk International University organized a food fundraising event on December 05, 2018 with the support and contribution of our volunteer students and staff in the entrance of the main building. In the presence of Dr. Idris Hadi, Head of Board of Trustees and Tishk International University staff commenced the event after the ribbon cutting.
