On October 16th and 17th 2018, an Expert Panel comprised of two Academic Representatives, one Representative of Profession, one Students Representative and Project Manager conducted a site-visit to Tishk International University Campus as a part of the International Accreditation Procedure of both B.Sc.-programs in Computer Engineering and Information Technology. Tishk International University is working on a project entitled ‘Religious and Cultural Diversity in Kurdistan’ funded by DAAD, within this context, a group of academicians from Tishk International University, Salahaddin University, and Catholic University participated in a fifteen-day exchange program in Potsdam University, Germany. They also attended two-day training courses on Quality Management at the Centre for Quality Development under the supervision of Michaela Fuhrman, Director of Quality Management Centre, and Coaching for Postgraduates in Graduation School with the supervision of Dr. Heike Kuchmeister, Director of Potsdam Graduate School. Welcome Ceremony was held on October 15, 2018, which was organized by the Students Deanery of Tishk International University. The event started at 11:00 am in front of the main building by the national anthem of Kurdistan. On Tuesday, October 9, 2018, the First International Conference on Advanced Science and Engineering (ICOASE2018), which is jointly organized by the University of Zakho and Dohuk Polytechnic University under the supervision of IEEE in Iraq, took place in the hall of conferences in Duhok province. The Director of Quality Assurance (QA) at Tishk International University, Dr. Samira T. Saeed, participated in a five-day internship programme for Quality Assurance officials at the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA), Putrajaya, Malaysia. The programme was held during October 1st -5th, 2018 and topics included overview of the Higher Education and QA systems in Malaysia and the role of MQA in these systems. More focus was directed to the types, processes and procedures of accreditation and the QA support services provided at the Malaysian universities.  On October 07, 2018, Dr. Idris Hadi Salih, Head of Board of Trustees & President of Tishk International University hosted and welcomed Dr. Pshtiwan Sadiq, Minister of Education, KRG in his office at the university.  The main agenda of the meeting was the impact of education on student performance in Kurdistan region and especially in Tishk International . Each year hundreds of students graduating from education faculty with four departments (ELT, Biology, Physics, and Mathematics).
