In a unique collaborative initiative between Tishk International University’s International Relations and Diplomacy (IRD) department and the Barzani Charity Foundation, a joint workshop was organized at Tishk International University to address the timely issue of ‘social cohesion’ in the humanitarian contexts. The Workshop which took place on October 7th 2018 came under the title ‘Fostering Social Cohesion: A New Phase of Humanitarian Work in the Kurdistan Region’. Under the supervision of his excellency Dr. Yousif Goran, Minister of higher education and scientific research, the ministry of higher education and scientific Research (KRG) presented a comprehensive seminar   on the (University admission systems ) for the (12 year) high school graduated students in Saad Abdulla hall on the date of September 06, 2018. Tishk International University was one of universities that participated in the event. Our representatives informed the students about the faculties and departments of Tishk International university. On the date of September 09 - 10, 2018, Tishk International University participated in Rwanga Foras 2018 at Sami Abulrahman Park, Erbil/KRG. The aim of this international job fair was to bring potential job opportunities for young people and students in Kurdistan. In this context, many local and international companies were part of this fair. During the event Tishk International representatives warmly welcomed the guests whom visited Tishk International booth and explained Tishk International University for them, also job opportunities were available for those who wants to apply for Tishk International University and become a member of Tishk International University Family. On Wednesday September 05, 2018, the body of Quality Assurance (called 'apparatus of Supervision and Quality Assurance' at MHE) has organized a meeting at EPU, Erbil. The meeting was attended by Minister of HE, Dr. Yousif Goran, Head of Quality Assurance (QA) Body, Dr. Mohammed Husein, Vice-presidents for Scientific Affairs of all KRG universities, QA directors and Health and Safety (H&S) directors of all KRG universities. Tishk International University is one of the active members of Association of Arab Universities (AArU). The Association of Arab Universities is an organization working within the framework of the Arab League based in Amman, Jordan. The objective of the organization is to support and connect universities to enhance cooperation among them. The recently elected Prof. Dr. Amro Izzat Salama, new president of Association of Arab Universities (former minister of higher education in Egypt) and a delegation from AArU has paid a visit to KRG universities including Tishk International University.
