On September 09, 2018, Qandil organization prepared a four-day workshop in cooperation with Tishk International University which was funded by GIZ under the title of Job Hunting. The workshop started on September 09, 2018, till September 12, 2018, each day from 10:00 AM to 03:00 PM, the training topics were, (How to Write Effective CV, how to prepare for an Interview and how to apply for a job). 120 students participated in the workshop and all of them certified with the certification of participation. During October 21 – 22, 2018, Dr. Idris Hadi Salih, Head of Board of Trustees and Acting President of Tishk International University participated in the international conference 2018 in Muscat, Oman, upon the invitation of accreditation service for international schools, colleges & universities (ASIC). ASIC is an internationally renowned quality standard for schools, colleges, universities and online learning providers. International Relation office (IRO) of Tishk International University organized a seminar for Tishk International university staff and students entitling the “opportunities in students and staff exchange program” on October 23, 2018. The seminar was opened by Prof. Dr. Ahmet Öztaş, Director of IRO by presenting a presentation about the IRO activities (Student Exchange Program, Staff Exchange Program, Summer training) during the academic year (2017-2018). The IRO office invited the exchanged students to join the seminar and share their experiences. On October 23, 2018, Tishk International University was totally different from the normal days of the university, since all the talented students were gathered together. Student Deanery organized Clubs Introduction Day. The event aimed to introduce the clubs and the instructor of each clubs to the students and as well as to the staff. During the event, each club found the opportunity to introduce themselves and explain their plans and activities by the club instructor and volunteers of the clubs for those that are interested in. The Iraqi Young Leaders Exchange Program alumnus were at Tishk International University on October 17, 2018 to give a presentation about how to apply to the IYLEP program which is a fully funded program by US Embassy that sends undergraduate and high school students to the United States of America for cultural and educational purposes. IYLEP is a program that takes students from all over Iraq to America to educate them on the American culture, to enrich their imaginations, to improve their critical thinking and the ability to develop themselves. On October 16th and 17th 2018, an Expert Panel comprised of two Academic Representatives, one Representative of Profession, one Students Representative and Project Manager conducted a site-visit to Tishk International University Campus as a part of the International Accreditation Procedure of both B.Sc.-programs in Computer Engineering and Information Technology. The panel was formed by the “ Central Evaluation and Accreditation Agency” (ZEvA) which is a founding member of The European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) and The European Consortium for Accreditation (ECA) .
