Some of ISHIK University staffs and students hiked to the Safin Mountain on Saturday, November 03, 2018. Student Deanery organized a fabulous Hiking event to those who interest and love the nature of Kurdistan. Hiking, walking in nature as a recreational activity. Especially among those with sedentary occupations, hiking is a natural exercise that promotes physical fitness, is economical and convenient, and requires no special equipment. Because hikers can walk as far as they want, there is no physical strain unless they walk among hills or mountains. Mr. Safeen Dizayee, KRG spokesman, visited Tishk International University on October 31, 2018, and he was received by Dr. Idris Hadi and the presidency of Tishk International University. Dr. Idris welcomed the delegation and thanked Mr. Dizayee for his visits to Tishk International to closely see the educational system and students at Tishk International University. On September 09, 2018, Qandil organization prepared a four-day workshop in cooperation with Tishk International University which was funded by GIZ under the title of Job Hunting. The workshop started on September 09, 2018, till September 12, 2018, each day from 10:00 AM to 03:00 PM, the training topics were, (How to Write Effective CV, how to prepare for an Interview and how to apply for a job). 120 students participated in the workshop and all of them certified with the certification of participation. During October 21 – 22, 2018, Dr. Idris Hadi Salih, Head of Board of Trustees and Acting President of Tishk International University participated in the international conference 2018 in Muscat, Oman, upon the invitation of accreditation service for international schools, colleges & universities (ASIC). ASIC is an internationally renowned quality standard for schools, colleges, universities and online learning providers. ASIC has been formed to bring independent information to both the student population and the wider Higher Education world, through its international accreditation service with well-defined and objective benchmarking. International Relation office (IRO) of Tishk International University organized a seminar for Tishk International university staff and students entitling the “opportunities in students and staff exchange program” on October 23, 2018. The seminar was opened by Prof. Dr. Ahmet Öztaş, Director of IRO by presenting a presentation about the IRO activities (Student Exchange Program, Staff Exchange Program, Summer training) during the academic year (2017-2018).
